The Survey Questionnaire
The following survey is one which we conducted amongst the households of our fellow peers in 5th and 6th class. All 21 participants agreed to have their results included in our sample size for our results.
THE RESULTS
• 60% of people did not know that soft plastic is not recyclable in Ireland.
Only 40% knew this fact.
• 85% of people surveyed said that the majority of the items in their weekly shop were wrapped in soft plastics.
Just 15% reported otherwise.
• 95% of people agree that producers are wasteful and irresponsible in using too much packaging.
Just 5% disagreed.
• 85% of people use a reusable bag when shopping.
15% admitted to not using one all of the time.
• 75% of people use tin foil or cling film when packaging food stuffs.
25% stated that they do not.
• 75% of people insist that that changing from soft plastic to hard plastic containers when storing food would not be an inconvenience.
25% insisted that it would be difficult.

Survey 2: Our Bag for Life Survey
This survey was conducted to uncover whether our school community would have an interest in buying a "Bag for Life" from us in order to spread our important message, support our campaign and, of course, make 1 small change in saving our Environment!

Results
The results showed that 85% of people surveyed use a Bag for Life, this was a relief for us to hear!
100% of people surveyed said that if we were to make a "Bag for Life" that they would use it.
100% of people surveyed said that if they were to run out of or were in need of replacing bags, that they would purchase a "Bag for Life".
70% of people surveyed said that they do not wash their re-usable bags.
80% of people organise or separate their shopping.
And finally, 100% said that they would prefer to use a "Bag for Life" than a plastic bag!
